The Halcyon story

New Zealand downlight specialists since 1982

Halcyon has been designing and supplying lighting in New Zealand since 1982. It designs and customises its downlights in-house, works with manufacturing partners in China and Europe, and assembles and ships from its own sites in the North and South Islands.

Halcyon publishes Supplier Declarations of Conformity for its products, along with the figures that matter in a downlight: colour rendering, colour consistency and flicker.

Why buy genuine Halcyon

A downlight sits inside your ceiling. Know where it came from

It's often installed close to insulation, so the paperwork matters more than the price.

About the brand

Halcyon downlights

Downlights give even, background light across a room and work well alongside feature lights. Tilting downlights can be angled onto artwork, benches or shelving, and smart downlights let you change brightness and colour from your phone. A licensed electrician installs all downlights.
