Get the height right
Typical mounting heights. Your electrician will confirm the final position.
-
Choosing a shade
Pick a shade about 540 to 640 mm across the bottom and deep enough to hide the bulb fitting.
-
On a side table
Pair it with a table 550 to 650 mm high, so the bottom of the shade sits around eye level when you're seated.
-
Bedside
Use a bedside table at least 600 mm wide, so the shade doesn't overhang the edge.
