It hangs 254 mm, leaving about 2.15 m below on a 2.4 m ceiling. For lower ceilings, a flush mount is the better choice.

Space them 2.4 to 3 m apart, starting about 1.2 m in from each end of the hall.

In rooms longer than about 4 m, two evenly spaced lights give more even light than one.
