Size and placement

Get the height right

Typical mounting heights. Your electrician will confirm the final position.

  • Over a dining table

    Choose a length about two-thirds of the table. At 1,030 mm long, it suits a table about 1.6 m long. Hang the bottom 750 to 850 mm above the tabletop.

  • Over a kitchen island

    Centre it along the island, with the bottom 750 to 850 mm above the benchtop. It suits an island at least 1,350 mm long.

  • Setting the drop

    On a 2.4 m ceiling over a table, it hangs about 850 mm from the ceiling. It can hang up to 1,200 mm under higher ceilings, but keep 2.1 m clear where people walk underneath.
